Harry Potter : Wizards Unite is an upcoming free-to-play, location-based augmented reality game inspired by J. K. Rowling 's Wizarding World and the Harry Potter franchise. The game is being published by Niantic and co-developed by Niantic and Portkey Games, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. It is set to launch in 2018 for Android and iOS mobile devices and expected to use augmented reality similar to Niantic's previous release, Pokémon Go.
