Wildflowers - a Polish vocal and instrumental ensemble operating in the late 1960s and proposing a Slavic version of black soul music.

History

The group was founded in June 1968 and operated at the Od Nowa club in Poznań. Initially, it was known as the Józef Paskuda Organization. A model for musicians was the Graham Bond Organization.

The leader and founder of the formation was guitarist and vocalist Tomasz Dziubiński.

The composition of the band with him was co-created by: Adam Adamski (vocals), Paweł Dubowicz ( piano, clavisete), Zbigniew Owsian (bass guitar ), Grzegorz Zerbst ( drums ). The group was associated with vocalists Mirosława Kowalak and Anna Szmeterling (later known as Anna Jantar). Guest bassist Kazimierz Plewiński assisted her.

In September 1968, the manager of the band was Andrzej Kosmala, editor of the Polish radio station in Poznań, who opted for the change of the name to Wildflowers. Thanks to Kosmala in December of the same year, the group made the first recordings for P.R. Poznań, most of them were compositions by A. Adamski.
