pałac myśliwski radziwiłłów - online puzzles

Hunting palace of the Radziwiłł princes in Antonin - a hunting lodge built between 1822-1824 by Karl Friedrich Schinkel for the prince Antoni Radziwiłł.

The palace is wooden, timbered, on the foundation, built on a Greek cross plan - the main body of the octagonal shape, to which the four lower wings were added. The façade is painted in the color of the so-called imperial bile (German: Kaisergelb). The entire interior of the main body is occupied by a large, three-story hall with a decorative ceiling, supported by a pillar containing chimney flues from fireplaces, adorned with hunting trophies. In the past, concerts were held there. One of the wings houses a staircase leading to internal balconies, leading to living rooms in the other three wings.

Antoni Radziwiłł's guest in Antonin was Fryderyk Chopin (twice, in 1827 and 1829). On the facade of the palace there is a plaque commemorating these visits, and at the entrance to the palace area there is a monument to the composer.
