Mario Andrés Meoni (Ascension, January 22, 1965 ) is an Argentine politician belonging to the Renovator Front, he has been the Minister of Transportation of the Nation since December 10, 2019. He was mayor of the Junín Party, in the province of Buenos Aires, between 2003 and 2015.
Biography
Beginnings
He was born in the town of Ascension, a party of General Arenales, on January 22, 1965. Son of Andrés Meoni and Esmeralda Traverso, both from the city of Junín. He is married since 1991 with Laura Oliva, with whom he is the father of twins, Felipe and Robertino.
As a young man he began to work and also a military in politics within the Radical Civic Union (UCR).
In 1987 he was appointed employee of the National Food Plan (PAN) of the Ministry of Social Action of the Nation, during the presidency of Raúl Alfonsín. From 1991 to 1995 he was a councilor for the UCR in the Junín party.
From 1995 to 1999 he was the secretary of the National Deputies Block of the UCR.
From 1999 to 2003 he was a provincial deputy for the UCR in the Chamber of Deputies of the Province of Buenos Aires. During this period he was second vice president of his block.
