Alfonso "Poncho" Herrera (Spanish pronunciation: [alˈfonso eˈreɾa]; born Alfonso Herrera Rodríguez on August 28, 1983) is a Mexican stage and screen actor and former singer, who is best known for starring in Clase 406 (2002), Rebelde ( 2004 ), RBD: La familia (2007), Mujeres Asesinas (2009) Camaleones (2009), El Equipo (2011), Sense8 ( 2015 –present), and El Dandy ( 2015 ). As of autumn 2016, Herrera starred alongside Geena Davis, Ben Daniels, and Alan Ruck in the 10- episode, critically acclaimed Fox TV adaptation "inspired by" the William Peter Blatty best- selling novel The Exorcist.
He gained international recognition as a member of the Latin Grammy-nominated pop group RBD. He has since appeared in films including Amarte Duele (2002), Venezzia (2009), Espectro (2013), La Dictadura Perfecta ( 2014 ) and El Elegido ( 2016 ).
