Maite Perroni Beorlegui (born March 9, 1983) is a Mexican actress and singer, best known for her role in the Mexican soap operas Rebelde (2004), Cuidado con el ángel (2008), Mi Pecado (2009) Triunfo del Amor (2010)), Cachito de cielo (2012), La Gata (2014) and Antes muerta que Lichita (2015). She gained international fame as a member of the Latin-nominated Latin RBD pop group Grammy. In 2016, she won Premios TVyNovelas best actress of the year for her work at Antes muerta que Lichita. In 2009, Perroni received the title "The New Queen of The Telenovelas" from Univision. In 2012, she signed a contract with the Warner Music Group, and a year later Perroni released her first solo album Eclipse de Luna (2013), which made her third place in the Amprofon Top 20, the main table of Mexican albums, and reached the ninth position on the Latin American album list and the second in Hispanic pop albums.
