A series of animated series for children produced in the United States from 1969 to today. The creators are William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, and production took place in their studio Hanna-Barbera, and since 2001 takes place in Warner Bros. Animation. Apart from this duo, the creators of the series were Fred Silverman from CBS - the station, where Scooby Doo was originally broadcast, writers Joe Ruby and Ken Spears, and the creator of the character Iwao Takamoto. In October 2004, he broke a record number of episodes among American series (the record was beaten in 2005).
