Sushi is a Japanese dish made of boiled rice seasoned with rice vinegar (Japanese 酢, su) and various additions in the form of mostly raw: seafood, nori seaweed, pieces of fish, vegetables, mushrooms, as well as Japanese omelette (tamago-yaki), tofu, sesame seeds. Due to the very short shelf life, Japanese restaurants are prepared after making the order.
