Tokyo Mew Mew - a mahō-shōjo manga, written by Reiko Yoshida and drawn by Mi Ikumi. Manga was published in the Nakayoshi magazine. The plot focuses on the adventures of five girls whose genes have been linked to the genes of five endangered species of animals: wild cat from Iriomote (Ichigo Momomiya), white-backed tick (Minto Aizawa), black-eared porpoise (Midorikawa Retasu), lion marmosets (Purin Fon) and gray wolf (Zakuro Fujiwara). There was also a two-volume continuation Fri Tokyo Mew Mew à la Mode, to which Mia Ikumi both made drawings and wrote a script.
