Gray wolf [8], wolf [9] [a] (Canis lupus) - a species of predatory mammal from the Canidae family, inhabiting forests, plains, marshes and mountains of Eurasia and North America. Part of the area may be shared by two competing packs [11]. The wolf is able to cover several dozen kilometers in 24 hours. In search of a partner, a male can travel over 600 km in 2 weeks [12].
