Garfield is a popular comic created by Jim Davis, whose protagonist is a bold, lazy, narcissistic, red-haired tomcat, called Garfield, lying in front of the TV. His companions are: not very clever Odie's dog and their socially deficient owner Jon Arbuckle. The cat inherited the name of his grandfather Jim Davis, who in turn was named in commemoration of US President James Garfield.
