Phantom black, Black dyer - a species of freshwater aquarium fish from the family Żeraczowatych. The species comes from South America. Occurs in the Paraguay River, the Guapore and Mamore Basin in Brazil and Bolivia. They reach a maximum of 4.5 cm in length. The shape of the body resembles a quadrangle. The fish is characterized by light gray coloration and a black silver-colored spot just behind the gill covers. Black male fins. An anal, abdominal and fat fin in females tinged with red. The male has elongated dorsal and anal fins. In aquarium cultures there is also a variety of long-finned fish.
