Academic Taekwondo Club "Udar" - a sports club founded on April 24, 2002 at the Gdańsk University of Technology. The club operates as a section at the Gdańsk University of Technology, and is also affiliated with the Polish ITF Taekwon-Do Association. As part of the trainings, taekwondo, kick-boxing and self-defense classes are held at the club. Since 2003, the club runs free, adaptive self-defense courses for the student community every year. The organization of courses takes place with the participation and support of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Gdańsk. In the years 2003-2013, over 2,000 students and students from Gdańsk and the surrounding area were trained as part of self-defense courses.
