Jasper Whitlock was born in 1844 in Houston, Texas. In 1861, he joined the Confederate army to fight in the American civil war. Because he was already very tall for his age, he was easily 20-year-old. Thanks to his charismatic charisma (aura) he quickly reached the higher rank of the army and eventually became a major. In 1863 he was eventually evacuated the city of Galveston (Texas), where he met on the way back to the vampires Nettie, Lucy and Mary, who turned him into a vampire.
