Zhangye danxia, is a Chinese natural wonder. The unusual landscape is the result of millions of years of erosion of sandstones and other rocks from which foothills are built. As a result, the landscape creates, resembling a cake, multicolored layers of rock, which as a result of tectonic movements were shifted relative to the level creating picturesque hills.
