Bonnie Sheila Bennett was the best friend of Elena Gilbert and Caroline Forbes. Her ancestor was Emily Bennett, whose earlier roots come from Salem. Initially, she did not trust her abilities, but she was very protective and always helped anyone who needed help. In season 4 finale, she died, bringing Jeremy back to life. She acted as a ghost until Qetsiyah made her anchor to the Other Side, so that she could be fleshly present among the living. When the place fell apart due to Markos getting out of it, Bonnie left the world of the living.
