Walter Elias Disney was an American entrepreneur, animator, voice actor and film producer. A pioneer of the American animation industry, he introduced several changes in the production of cartoons. As a film producer, Disney has a record in most Oscar awards, winning 22 Oscars out of 59 nominations. He received two Golden Globe Special Achievement Awards and an Emmy Award. Several of his films are in the National Film Registry at the Library of Congress.
