A city in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, the seat of the Golub-Dobrzyń poviat and the rural commune of Golub-Dobrzyń. Golub-Dobrzyń was formally formed on May 15, 1951, by joining the cities of Golub and Dobrzyn on the Drwęca River, lying on the opposite banks of the Drwęca River.
